Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Receives, prioritizes, and transmits incoming and outgoing radio, phone, and alarm traffic.
Effectively and efficiently documents CAD.
Answers routine inquiries and refers calls to the appropriate personnel or department Determines response area and dispatches resources accordingly.
Comprehends and follows oral and written direction in a timely manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skill.
Acts reasonably and decisively under stressful or emergency situations.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Read and interpret paper and digital maps.
Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
Learn and operate National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS).
Ability to operate within an environment that requires information to be kept confidential.
Basic
Qualifications:
Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.
Active Driver's License.
Minimum of 1-year dispatching or customer service experience.
